This looked like quite a quick one to tick off - found instructions on how to read Library of Congress and pasted the link in my blog...

...but when I publish it stays as a link, am I doing something wrong...need to find out how I get it to show the image???
Thank you Jane for your advice - I've now found the embeded html code to copy into my blog, so you tube screen shows up in my blog...yipee!
Now I know how to do this it's quite quick, but the problem is it's taking me ages to discover all of this and I had to do it several times to get the screen smaller so it fitted better on my blog post.

If you want the video itself to embed in your post, then when you're on YouTube, look in the box to the right of the video and click in the box where it says 'embed'. The text in this box should highlight - copy this. Now, go back into Blogger into your posting screen. Put your cursor where you want the video to show up, and then click on the 'edit HTML' tab at the top of the posting box. Paste in the embed code you just copied from YouTube. Return to the 'compose' tab and there should be a grey box that says < object > in the middle. This will magically turn into a video when you publish!
